Mixtent is a promising Silicon Valley startup aiming to disrupt the labor market and make your professional life online more efficient and structured. We've had the chance to work with them on the redesign of the landing page as well as some internal application pages.
We've been approached in March 2011 by Jonathan Gheller, the founder of Mixtent and a serial Silicon Valley entrepreneur with a request to put some final touches on the application and revamp the landing page. The guys at mixtent felt that the one they had didn't communicate the value proposition well enough.
We came up with a design that, in contrary to the original one, has room to breathe and lets the eye easily move through the main focal points. We moved the call to action a few levels up in the visual hierarchy to catch enough attention and provided clear and understandable main headline.
Some small adjustments have been made to the landing page, mainly a more legible humanist typeface (Cabin by Pablo Impalari, available via Google web fonts), and a top header bar more consistent with the inside of the application.
We have really enjoyed working with Jonathan and his team on this small project and have been working since on something even more interesting, which we are definitely going to show when the project is finished. We're particularly thankful for the bits of California sun we have enjoyed while staying at mixtent to finish some things in-house.
And what does Jonathan have to say about our cooperation?
Bonetics has a team of outstanding designers and front end developers. They work well, and they work fast. Its without a doubt a world class web design boutique.
